Here at Y Entertainment, we are on a mission to build an innovative infrastructure for the global technology business. Having a worldwide vision also comes with big challenges. We’re doing everything we can to connect with talent around the globe while staying fully compliant with local laws and practices. That’s why we make it a priority to understand different cultures and trends, learning and adapting to the work culture in every country we operate in, so our vision can truly resonate everywhere.

To better address the challenges we face, we partnered with Practera, who connected us with a multidisciplinary team of student consultants from King’s College London: Jadelle Zhang Campbell, Sirui Chen, Federica Dennis, and Yuwen Wei. This team helped us prepare a strategic recruitment plan, with a special focus on how Y Entertainment can better engage talent from Indonesia, Nigeria, Vietnam, and China. Through a review of secondary research and industry best practices, their report identifies strategic opportunities in global hiring, compliance management, and talent acquisition.

The findings recommend leveraging Employer of Record (EOR) services such as Remote.com or Deel.com, developing a clear and structured Employee Value Proposition (EVP), and testing competition-based recruitment models. These recommendations align with Y Entertainment’s vision of integrating GenAI, blockchain, and fashion for the Web 3.0 economy. The proposed strategies follow the example of successful remote-first companies like GitLab, Automattic, and Buffer, which have demonstrated that transparent communication, flexible hiring models, and performance-based assessments can significantly improve hiring outcomes for distributed teams.

At the same time, Y Entertainment must remain attentive to the cultural and legal differences across countries. Managing people globally requires us to adapt leadership and HR practices to local norms while ensuring full legal compliance. By doing so, we can build a team that not only helps achieve our business goals but also reflects our values of creativity, inclusivity, and innovation.

Building a strong, future-focused HR strategy is not just about following the rules, it’s a critical advantage in navigating the evolving global landscape of digital fashion and technology. In line with our entrepreneurial spirit, we’re proud to share this report as a reflection of our commitment to talent development, the transfer of knowledge from academia to industry, and the hope that our experience may benefit other businesses as well.
